More Hope with a New Coach?

For the Dallas Cowboys, a new coach is exactly what they needed for a more successful season in the fall.  The Dallas Cowboys were coached by Wade Phillips in the first half of the season.  During the first half of the season the Cowboys went 1-7.  Finally on November 8th manager, Jerry Jones, fired Wade Phillips after his lose to Green Bay 45-7.  Phillips was replaced by his offensive coordinator, Jason Garrett.  After firing Phillips, the Cowboys went 5-3 in the second half of the season.  They ended the season with a record of 6-10.  Garrett, who is 44 years old, has officially agreed to a four year contract with the Cowboys.  Garrett is an effective leader, and is able to connect with the players, and get the players to respond.  Jones believes that his team is a playoff team, and with Garrett as the new coach they will be a more competitive team.  Garrett has been around the Cowboys for a long time, and has a strong bond with Jones.  He played for the Cowboys from 1993-1999. He was the third-string quarter to Troy Aikman in the 1993 and 1995 Super bowl winning teams.  His father, Jim Garrett, was also a scout for the Cowboys when Jones bought the team in 1989.  So what does this new coach mean for next season?  Will the Cowboys make a run for the playoffs and a spot for the super bowl?  I think this upcoming season will be a winning season for them. I think Jason Garrett has the potential to lead this team to a playoff spot, and maybe even a super bowl position.
